About the Program
School Adoptions
and Minicamps
In each program network, NFL Network adopts a local school district and provides one deserving middle school with a $50,000 PE grant. Schools use the grant money to revitalize their PE program and facilities. NFL Network and the local NFL club host a pep rally and minicamp at each school to celebrate the program. With NFL cheerleaders, mascots and a pep band leading the fun, students pack the gym for some cheers, speeches and the unveiling of the refurbished facilities and new equipment. At the minicamp, students take the field with players from the local team where they get to participate in NFL-combine style activities.
Keep Gym in School Fitness Program:
Middle Schools across our program markets compete in the Keep Gym in School Fitness Program, an initiative designed to motivate kids to get and stay active. The Keep Gym in School Fitness Program rewards students and schools for staying active throughout the school year.
Lesson Plans:
NFL Network has partnered with NASPE to develop instructional and educational content designed to get kids excited about PE. Lesson-plan and activity binders are distributed to all participating PE instructors within our adopted school districts. Click here
National Grant Program:
NFL Network is providing ten $1,000 physical education grant to middle schools across the country. Click here
Public Service Campaign:
NFL Network has created a series of public service announcements for Keep Gym in School. These PSAs feature players from our NFL Club partners and are broadcast nationally on NFL Network, with NFL media partners and locally in program markets.

Honors Event:
NFL Network will host a national honors event in NYC during NFL Draft Week in late April, to recognize teachers and top-performing students from each adopted district. Click here
Our Mission
NFL Network believes that every student should have the opportunity to participate in quality physical education. We've created Keep Gym in School to increase access to in-school physical activity and to teach skills needed to establish and sustain healthy lifestyles.
